The Elk County Community Foundation presented a check to Elkwood Arts on September 28, 2017 as a result of a recent grant award. They were awarded $7,400 to help purchase items needed to refurbish the Elkwood Arts laser engraver. Dickinson would like to thank the Harrison & Muriel Dauer Stackpole Family Fund Trustees and the Elk County Community Foundation Development Fund Trustees for this generous support!

Elkwood Arts is a woodworking cottage industry dedicated to teaching the skills needed to create, market, and sell the products generated. Elkwood Arts is a Community Rehabilitation Program that has been offering services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities since 1994. The laser engraver has been a very critical element of revenue for that period and remains critically important for the programs future financial sustainability.
